We are a non-profit organization educating the community on food. We work with at-risk teens from low income families and give them the skills to grow their own food, sustain the land, develop leadership skills, and business training. The teens work with pastured pork learning about livestock management. In this process, they breed and raise pork for meat production. They offer a variety of pork in cuts packaged at USDA inspected facility, Snapps Ferry Meat Market. Pigs are raised on pasture and not given any hormones or antibiotics for the purpose of fast growth. Antibiotics are only used as necessary and administered by a veterinarian. We raise a heritage breed, Hereford, that do well on grazing and foraging in pasture management. They are a leaner pig with a great flavor.
