Warmer Weather??

When are we going to get warmer, drier weather? I hate to sound like I am complaining, but enough is enough already! I know, I should be grateful for the break in the garden work. But I have to be honest, I miss being outside in the fresh air, working with the plants, and making sure I am doing everything I can to bring you fresh vegitables!
On a brighter side, I had planted some lettuce seeds back before our “Deep Freeze” and had them in the greenhouse. Of course, they froze! In an attempt to save the little seeds, I have moved them inside where they now soak up any and all sunlight and warmth in front of my windows. And, it worked! I have three varieties of lettuce sprouting!
Won’t it be nice to have fresh lettuce on the table? It won’t be much longer before I will be ready to harvest.
In the mean time, we still have fresh breads, bagels, grass fed beef, seafood, and apples to order! I can smell a nice hot Apple Pie cooking right now. Seriously, I’m making an apple pie today with apples I got from Buffalo Trails Orchard.
We are making a small change in pick up times. The new pick up time will run from 5 to 5:15 PM at the Roby Adult Center in Downtown Greeneville.
